Monday from Team One...and photo's

Team one headed to Imperio De Amor for a day of WORK!!! We split into three teams repainting parts of their boys home. There was a fourth team comprised of...Seth, who spent the afternoon cut pipe for a new fence around their sport court and setting it into place. Everyone did a fantastic job and aaaalmost got it completely done, but we had to stop a bit earlier than we wanted to. Luckily, there will be another team there tomorrow to finish the little bits that are left. I love this team and I love the attitudes they're bringing to their work. I'm excited for the whole group to be together for the rest of the week as we head to the Cadereyta tomorrow. Enjoy the photo's! We'll catch up tomorrow.

  5. My thoughts for the team:

As I watched the bus go down the drive that day...
It struck me that this is what parents pray.
That their child would have a heart for others who need.
Instead of being filled with lust and greed.

I’m so proud of the students and leaders who gave...
Their time and love so others can be saved.
They could have been home and sleeping till noon...
Or hanging at Starbucks or going to the dunes.

Instead they chose to serve God and spread His love...
They acted on the calling they heard from above.
Showing God’s grace is their goal they had in mind...
Smiling, caring, loving and just being kind.

They’ve turned toward God and in the right direction...
Step by step they are in perfection.
God be with you as you finish out the week...
Making memories that together you will always keep.

    Katie Sellers and all,
    Thanks for sharing His love!

  16. Liv - You've sure gotten to do your share of painting this summer! Skills, baby, skills! It's pretty fulfilling, isn't it, to know that a coat of fresh paint will brighten and impact the lives of children for months and months to come. Way to go, team!

We're grateful for the team of stellar leaders who are investing in each of you. Thanks to them for their lives given to call the best out of each of you students. And, we're praying God will use each student to influence, empower, and support each other, calling the others to live all out in every experience this week.

We're confident that as you make a difference in the lives of those you're serving there, God is also changing you through their lives.

It's so fun to be kept up to speed with your experiences through pictures and posts. Thanks, team!

  18. Dear Team,

What an inspiring mission of service. As someone who cannot travel due to health issues, I am in awe of your commitment, talents and desire to serve other children of God. I pray that your time there not only changes the lives of others but reminds each of you of your blessings at home that we so often take for granted. May this experience help you more fully understand the great sacrifice God made for each of us on the cross and use your life in service to Him in everything that you do. Each of you truly have a heart of service for God may He use you in big and small ways now and always.

My prayers are with you all. May God continue to protect you and provide for all your needs.

    In Christian Love
