We've Arrived!

Yes, it's true... we've made it safe and sound. Our travels could not have gone any more smooth. As we landed in Monterrey, we were welcomed with 102 degree weather at 7:00 in the evening. Needless to say, it is going to be a beautifully toasty week and we couldn't be more thrilled.

Currently, as I type, everyone is in their dorms unpacking and getting settled. We had a great evening session and time of worship. The excitement level is at its peak as everyone looks ahead to this week and what God has in store.

Please feel free to leave your comments and words of encouragement as we will be reading them to the team each night. We will make sure to keep you up to date (via the blog) every day with pictures and a summary of the daily happenings. Although the distance apart may be difficult, we've asked the students to put away their cell phones for the week. This will help them stay focused on what God has for each of them. Thank you for understanding.

And with that, we're off... please be praying. We're ready to serve like crazy and watch God work.

  2. So glad to learn that the team arrived safely! There was a definite void in the evening service at GCC without the GSMer's in their usual worship spot! Know you are all being covered in tons of prayers! To our baby-girl, Liv, we miss you immensely already, but we know God's gonna move 'n groove in you this week! You may be far from us, physically, but you're never far from our hearts! We love you!

  3. Good Morning! It's Sunday now and We're so glad to read that you've arrived safely. We too, had a very quiet night without all the teenage activity. It comes with knowing that you, Peyton and Kelsey, are doing what's in your hearts right now. We're so proud of you and your desire to serve others! Heading to the Cubs game today (smile Peyton) with a sunburn from yesterday...hope to stay comfortable. We love you all!

  5. It's so awesome that you arrived safely...and already beginning your journey doing God's work. I'm so proud of each and every one of you...even those I don't personally know...for answering God's call. You rock in a major way, and I can't wait to watch as this story unfolds this week. THANK YOU for being Jesus to so many...and THANK YOU for being a friend to and taking such good care of my Kelsey. Kelsey - mommy loves you and your heart for JESUS!!!

  7. Hey everyone! So glad you made it there safely. I'm sure you've all been sweating a bit - especially Austin ;O) (Love you bud). I'm so proud to know such a wonderful group of teens who are willing to put their own needs aside to go share the love of God with those with greater needs. Have an AWESOME week! Austin, I love you more (and always will).
    Blessings,
